July 2026 Highlights | New Connections, Summer Events, and a Growing Community

Our houses in both Tokyo and Osaka welcomed new long-term residents, while seasonal events brought everyone together. We also began welcoming coaches for this summer's Global English Camp, making our community even more international.

Here's a look back at some of July's highlights.

Welcoming New Residents

Ogikubo House (Tokyo)

In early July, we welcomed a new long-term resident to our Ogikubo House.

During the online house tour, we introduced not only the room itself but also the surrounding neighborhood, including nearby supermarkets, coin laundries, and other everyday conveniences. Being able to picture daily life in advance gave the resident extra confidence in choosing our share house.

At Come on UP, we believe that helping people imagine their future lifestyle is just as important as showing them the room.

Osaka Area

Our Osaka houses also welcomed new residents this month.

People with diverse backgrounds—including those returning from living overseas and those starting a new chapter in Japan—continue to make our community vibrant and welcoming.

Residents have even proposed launching a regular Language Exchange Club, creating more opportunities to practice English and Japanese while making new friends.

From board games to video games and shared meals, it's the everyday moments that help meaningful friendships grow.

A ChatGPT Recommendation Led to an Inquiry

One of the most interesting moments this month came from a couple who contacted us through our official LINE account.

They told us they discovered Come on UP after asking ChatGPT to recommend share houses nearby.

It reminded us how important it is to keep our website, photos, and Google Maps information accurate and up to date so future residents can easily picture life in our community.

Summer Community Events

July also brought one of our favorite summer traditions.

Our Osaka community enjoyed a fun Nagashi Somen (flowing noodle) event using a full-sized indoor bamboo-style setup. Residents and their families spent the day enjoying Japanese summer culture together.

Seasonal events like these are a great way for new and existing residents to connect naturally.

Global English Camp Has Begun

From mid-July, coaches participating in our annual Global English Camp started moving into our share houses.

Every summer, people from around the world join our community, creating countless opportunities for cultural exchange and new friendships.
